WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 16, 2021)
- Mike Lettieri, a long-time sports industry and FILA executive, has been selected as part of the PHIT America Board. PHIT America is the national charity dedicated to improving the physical and mental health of children. PHIT America has already helped more than 660,000 kids throughout the USA and is expanding its impact to help more kids and schools.
"Mike is a winner and a doer," said Jim Baugh, Founder of PHIT America. "In order to impact millions of kids, we need to pursue exclusive sponsors with a focus on high-profile sports suppliers, retailers and other companies. With Mike's passion for fitness and health combined with his sports industry network, he is an ideal PHIT America Board member to help drive our mission."
"I love this charity and what they are doing for kids throughout the USA," says Lettieri. "PHIT America goes to the 'roots' of physical activity to make sure this industry has more participants. More importantly, we need to overcome the 'Inactivity Pandemic' to improve kids' lives and health .. for a lifetime. PHIT America's programs are impactful and I aim to secure sponsor support to help expand these programs throughout the USA."
PHIT America has recently entered into discussions with major sports and fitness brands and other non-sport brands to join our campaign. "We will carve out specific product or distribution segments for the right partner," says Baugh. "The beauty of this opportunity is we have spent the past 8 years understanding the opportunity while developing great programs. This is a great Social Responsibility Campaign opportunity .. and we also will grow participation."
PHIT America is a non-profit organization, established in 2013, leading a national 'Movement' to greatly improve the physical and mental health of 50 million children in the USA, with a plan to beat the Inactivity Pandemic. All data and research sources can be found at IP.PHITAmerica.org
