Sporting Goods CPI Through January 2026

The January 2026 Sporting Goods CPI increased 1.9 percent vs. January 2025. Previously, the index had decreased every month since February 2023 before remaining flat in November and decreasing in December of last year. In comparison, the overall product index has continued to increase.
NOTE: There was no October 2025 CPI information because of the government shutdown.
Sporting Goods Retailers PPI Through December 2025

The December 2025 Sporting Goods Retailers PPI increased 5.6% vs. December 2024. The Sporting Goods Retailers PPI has now increased 10 out of the last 12 months dating back to January 2025. Updated PPI information was also included from September-November 2025.
Overview: The PPI for Sporting Goods Retailers tracks pricing trends for new sporting goods such as bicycles, camping equipment, exercise and fitness equipment, athletic uniforms, and specialty sports footwear as well as other sporting goods, equipment, and accessories.
