America COMPETES Act of 2022
HR 4521

America Creating Opportunities for Manufacturing, Pre-Eminence in Technology, and Economic Strength Act (America COMPETES Act) of 2022 encompasses scientific research, economic competitiveness and a variety of other matters such as facilitating domestic manufacturing and supply chain issues for certain sectors. This bipartisan legislation passed in the House of Representatives in February 2022.

In late March 2022 a version of the bill was passed in the Senate. It must undergo a reconciliation process to align both chambers of Congress before it is sent to President Biden for signature.

Any improvements to supply chain and domestic manufacturing is good for the overall American economy and should have beneficial ripple effects into many sectors.
