HR 842/S 420
Protecting the Right to Organize Act of 2021 (PRO Act of 2021) expands various labor matters related to employees’ rights to organize and collectively bargain in the workplace which was passed in the House of Representatives. A retailer may find this legislation to be an interference to business operations as it includes the forced disclosure of employees’ personal information to union organizers, the repeal of right-to-work statutes nationwide and the end of private ballots in union elections. NSGA informed its membership about this legislation in March of 2021 and continues to monitor related activity.
