The March 2024 Sporting Goods CPI decreased 0.3% vs. March 2023, marking the 13th consecutive month the index has decreased. Previously, the Sporting Goods CPI had increased each month from October 2020 through February 2023. In comparison, the overall product index has continued to increase.

The March 2024 Sporting Goods Retailers PPI decreased 2.7% vs. March 2023, marking the 1st month since December the index has decreased. The Sporting Goods Retailers PPI has now decreased 4 out of the last 12 months dating back to April 2023.
