Sporting Goods CPI Through September 2025

The September 2025 Sporting Goods CPI decreased 0.1% vs. September 2024, marking the 31st consecutive month the index has decreased. Previously, the Sporting Goods CPI had increased each month from October 2020 through February 2023. In comparison, the overall product index has continued to increase.

The August 2025 Sporting Goods Retailers PPI increased 2.5% vs. August 2024. The Sporting Goods Retailers PPI has now increased 13 straight months dating back to Aug 2024.
NOTE: An updated PPI is not available because of the Federal Government shutdown.
