Rawlings, Baseball Canada Partner on Premier Championship Event

PARIS, ONTARIO (May 22, 2026) – Rawlings and Baseball Canada are partnering with The Road to Okotoks and The Morneau Cup, a premier national amateur baseball championship designed to showcase Canada’s top baseball talent and elevate the future of the game across the country. THE ROAD TO OKOTOKS, presented by Rawlings, brings together the top amateur baseball programs from across Canada through regional qualifying events, culminating in a national championship hosted at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks, Alberta.

The tournament is designed to create a true “best-on-best” environment for Canadian athletes, while also providing exposure to college recruiters, professional scouts, and Baseball Canada leadership.

“Elite competition, exposure and opportunity combined with Nationwide pride will be on display. It’s the ultimate showcase of talent, competition and championship spirit,” the joint release from Rawlings and Baseball Canada said.

Regional qualifying events will take place across Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta from May 28–31, 2026, with the top programs advancing to the national championship in July 2026.

The Morneau Cup is named after Canadian Baseball Hall of Famer Justin Morneau. His 14-year Major League Baseball career included winning the 2006 American League MVP Award with the Minnesota Twins.

Rawlings is a member and supporter of NSGA. Mike Thompson, Harry Latina, Claude Carr and Ed Horner of Rawlings are in the Sporting Goods Industry Hall of Fame.
