FREEVILLE, NEW YORK (June 8, 2026) – The Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) announced the election of Will Rodecap, EMC, EdM as President of the AEMA Board of Directors.
Rodecap, a respected leader within the equipment management profession and longtime AEMA member, was elected by the Association’s membership and will begin his term as Board President immediately following the 2026 AEMA Convention. As Board President, Rodecap will work alongside the Board of Directors, committees, volunteers and staff to advance AEMA’s mission of supporting and elevating athletic equipment managers through education, certification, networking, advocacy and professional development.
“Will brings a deep understanding of our profession, a strong commitment to service, and a passion for the future of AEMA,” said Ann Kitt-Carpenetti, Executive Director of AEMA. “His experience, leadership, and dedication to our members will help guide the Association as we continue to strengthen programs, expand member value, and advance the equipment management profession.”
Rodecap succeeds outgoing Board President, Melisande Resendiz, whose leadership and service have helped guide the Association through a period of growth and organizational advancement.

The announcement comes as AEMA continues to expand educational offerings, strengthen industry partnerships, enhance member services and prepare for future growth across all levels of athletic equipment management. AEMA will formally recognize Rodecap’s election during the 2026 AEMA Convention, June 14–17, in Covington, Kentucky.
