FORMER NSGA CHAIRMAN JEFF ROSENTHAL ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT AS HIBBETT PRESIDENT & CEO

BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA (March 21, 2019) – Hibbett Sports, Inc., announced the planned retirement of Jeff Rosenthal, President and Chief Executive Officer. The Hibbett Board of Directors will commence a search process to identify the Company’s next CEO, and Rosenthal will remain at the Company in his CEO capacity until a successor is named. Rosenthal will assist the Board with the search and the execution of the transition. Upon the completion of the leadership transition, Rosenthal will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.

Rosenthal was the National Sporting Goods Association’s Chairman of the Board from 2010-12. He joined the NSGA Board in 2006, and also served as Treasurer/Chairman-Elect and Past Chairman.
