CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (April 15, 2019) – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced an extension through 2021 with adidas as the association’s Official Apparel & Footwear Provider. Originally announced in August 2017, as a three-year agreement, adidas has agreed to an expanded relationship with the second-largest collegiate athletic association in the United States.

“Adidas is thrilled to partner with the NJCAA,” stated adidas West Region Director Kendall Whitley. “Our commitment to world class product and service aligns with the mission of the NJCAA and its schools. Our team division at adidas is also excited to partner on future marketing and sales strategies as well as engage in NJCAA championships.”

As part of the partnership extension, adidas will provide official merchandise at NJCAA national championship events hosted across the country. NJCAA member institutions will have access to exclusive discounts and team packages on footwear and apparel. Programs from around the nation that have previously teamed up with the three-stripe brand include members in Region 6, Region 11, Region 20, and Region 23, among others.

“From day one, the NJCAA has been honored to be associated with the iconic three-stripe brand,” stated NJCAA President & CEO Dr. Christopher Parker. “The commitment adidas has made to two-year college athletics will continue to move our organization forward. Our evolving relationship is a testament to the collaboration and hard work put in by both parties. We look forward to the continuous development between the NJCAA and adidas.”

Since the initial agreement in 2017, member colleges have expressed their satisfaction with the partnership.

“My schools have partnered with adidas for more than five years now and that partnership has been amazing,” said Mike Saddler, Colby (KS), Director of Athletics and former Neosho County (KS) Athletic Director. “Kendall, Scott, and everyone at adidas have been great to work with. Our teams are competing in great shoes, uniforms, and apparel and it has given our entire athletic department a cohesive first-class look both on the field and off.”

Jeremy Capo, Director of Athletics at Iowa Western echoed Saddler’s sentiment regarding the partnership: “We have been a part of the adidas family for a little over a year and to say we are ecstatic and pleased would be an understatement. Adidas has completely changed the game for us and allowed Reivers Athletics to take our brand to the next level. We are blessed by our partnership with adidas, as it has created excitement amongst our student-athletes and blended our championship brands together. The communication, attention to detail, and customer service has exceeded our greatest expectations.”
