Gill Athletics Named Supplier of Illinois High School Track Championships

CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS (September 17, 2025) – Gill Athletics announced it was named the Official Equipment Supplier of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State Track & Field Championships beginning with the 2026 season.

Starting in 2026, every athlete who qualifies for the IHSA Boys and Girls State Meet at Eastern Illinois University will be competing on brand-new Gill Athletics equipment, including:

• Gill S4 Pole Vault Pit and Gill S4 High Jump Pit
• Gill G4 Collegiate Hurdle
• A full lineup of elite Gill discuses and shot puts
• Custom relay batons for every relay team competing

“With their headquarters right here in Illinois, this partnership is a natural fit,” said Kraig Garber, IHSA Assistant Executive Director. “Gill is known globally as a leading provider of track and field equipment.”

Gill said “this partnership is especially meaningful to us as an Illinois-based company with many team members who have competed or coached at this very state meet.”

Gill Athletics’ Sales Rep Max Schweitzer was a pole vaulter at McHenry High School in northern Illinois and will lead the IHSA Track equipment provision.

“As someone born and raised in Illinois who competed and coached track here, it’s an honor to support the next generation of Illinois track and field athletes at the IHSA state meet,” said Schweitzer. “Providing the best equipment to help athletes reach their full potential means a lot to me personally and to all of us at Gill.”
