DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS (October 27, 2026) – According to the US Census Bureau’s Monthly Retail Trade Report, sales for sporting goods stores during the month of August reached $5.8 billion, representing an increase of 5.4 percent compared to the prior year. Thus far in 2026, YTD sales are up 9.6 percent vs. 2025.
Information for September will be available next month.
