DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS (July 28, 2026) – According to the US Census Bureau’s Monthly Retail Trade Report, sales for sporting goods stores during the month of May reached $5.39 billion, representing an increase of 10.5 percent compared to the prior year. Thus far in 2026, YTD sales are up 7.5 percent vs. 2025.
Information for June will be available next month.
