The Hockey Dealers Association has completed the Ice Hockey Participation Report 2024 Edition, a compilation of hockey-specific data produced by the National Sporting Goods Association. The report contains data on overall ice hockey participation including breakouts by gender, age, household income, US region and frequency of participation. Also included is an overview of organized vs. recreational participation. Finally, the report details participation among 8 lifecycle demographic segments (socio-economic segments factoring in participants’ ages, number of people in household, and household income). It is a great resource for retailers, pro shop owners, manufacturers and others involved in the hockey industry to identify participation trends as well as the makeup of participants.
